Even still, you just got through the blinds, and you've got 2 or 3 more freebies before you're back in. I think you've gotta hope for an A or K in those hands and get yours in first. Like you, I'm not so much afraid of the all-in reraise as I am of the UTG raise, unless you've got a read on UTG. The best you can hope for in either hand is a lower PP, but you've gotta believe the best you can be against the best of the 2 is 55%. Does the gap concept not apply in shorthanded/shortstacked play?? I just think pushers are giving JJ way too much credit in this situation.

They see a PP and think "I dont know how to play this, but I cant fold it", so they try to open themselves up to the least risk possible. 22-44 less so...but I think you will see hands that OP utterly rips to shreds way more often than anything like QQ-AA. If I was in 2nd chip position I could pass here...but not having much prize equity to begin with makes this an "easier" decision for me...Guess I shouldnt say its clear cut, but it would be for me.

Given the stack sizes and tourney situation...I don't think there is much of a choice. Triple up here and finish ITM or join another table. Do you think you are going to be able to start stealing like a mad man? Well...every single time you try you have to get though the big stack. Do you think you can wait for a better hand? How many hands can you wait? 3? 6 at the most? It would take remarkable luck...a lot more luck than it would take to win a 3 handed showdown with JJ.

With less than 5BBs and still two players from the bubble I can't see many scenarios where I am folding JJ. This sure ain't one of them.
But I seem to like 5th place.

I was responding to the post saying that UTG probably had 22-99, which I absolutely disagree with. I'd think you'd see Ax make this move more than 22-66.
I originally voted fold cause I hate JJ in a 3-way, but after noticing that you have nearly 3k in chips if you win, I would like to change my answer to push and pray.
