All right, one more: preflop in No Limit, do you size your raises based on some formula/position (a la the little green book) or based on "what you want to happen" with some randomization thrown in (a la NLHETP)? I'm still experimenting myself -- the little green book method is easier as a beginner, but Ed & David's way seems like more fun...

8. what's the status on your micro survivotr with titlat?

It's going nowhere. Forum survivor has been strictly outlawed.

9. who do you think cpudld topple me in micro survivor? i posit no one.

Miles could take you in a heartbeat. Jax used to be able to take you, but he hasn't been posting much strategy. Boz could take you if he hadn't already sworn this place off. Really, I think Buzz, Aussie, HouseCalls, Eeegah, and a number of others could, too. Most people in this forum nowadays just know you as the guy who posts in the NC thread while drunk rather than the guy who posts good strategy AND posts in the NC thread when drunk.

Woah there! Back up please.

What is this micro and forum survivor thingy that you speak of? (I have an inkling but you may as well spell it out for me) And why was it outlawed?

Well, when I started out, I tried a little NLTP, and it was a disaster. I switched to the formulaic approach, and it worked much better. Still, though, I found myself making some big pots with hands that didn't want them. I was just starting to deviate a little more again. I think that the formula is great, actually. It's a great way to start out. Once you've played with it for 20k hands, though, you might start to see its weaknesses. I think that on this subject, and all subjects, really, the NLTP approach is superior, but in the hands of a new or even moderately experienced player, it can be an utter trainwreck.

I have been doing "standard" type raises, but am starting to vary it WRT what I want to happen a little bit. standard way is a nice intro and then i think varying comes with experience

Do you think time travel is possible, and if so will we ever learn how?

Do you think that the human race will ever populate Mars?

Do you think that there is intelligent life elsewhere in the Universe?

In OOT, [censored] decided it'd be interesting if put two forum members head to head, and then he had the forum vote on which one should stay, and which one should be banned permanently. It was quite the drama bomb. There were a few subsequent iterations, but it's now been strictly outlawed by Mat. It was just too juvenile, created too much fuss, and resulted in a few senseless bannings.

Nope.

Tough to say. Certainly not in my lifetime. Eventually? Maybe. We'll probably take the moon first, though.

--Do you think that there is intelligent life elsewhere in the Universe?

Again tough to say. I think that even if there is, we'll probably never find it.

I agree with Mat, that sounds juvenile ... and more importantly, we dont want Shadow banned. Hell, part of the reason I read the NC thread is for the periodic/nightly shadow "omg ppbj is rigged, Im blotto" post. Hola!

I still don't remember you telling me what kinds of things you liked. You like beer? Whiskey? Gin? Rum?

[/ QUOTE ]

This one I'll come back to in a bit.

Hit this one up in the AM? Oh, and by this forum, I was referring to the micros, but if you want to do micros and rest of 2p2, that's cool.

lastly before the morn.

* Can you give me 3 more drinks with which to use Irish Whiskey? I tried 1.5 oz + 2.5 oz sour mix & soda, and it was OK.

* What is your real motive at starting this thread

* What would it take to get the Microposter session back?

* Have you seen Porky's?
