I heard Lindsay Lohan is going to bone whoever wins the bet. And then that person will be made the president of the Ukraine.

I think Nick's edge will come from the Inspector Gadgetesque legs he has constructed for himself, so that after catching the ball he can elevate himself 50 feet in the air and rain yellow (green?) fuzzy death from the skies. After his inevitable victory, he will eat a cow that he has personally beaten to death with his own skull.

ken,

"ncaa regulations"

You should play him for fun. If bz or anyone else want to make side bets on it, that is their business.

"I am going to wait to see how his wagers pan out"

OK, so I guess it turns out you are a little bitch after all. That sucks. Why all the big talk if you were just going to turn into a pussy when it came time to back up your words? Nick has been very clear with his offers and you with your acceptance. Now you want to wait and see? Weak as hell.

if ken is backing out (hella weak) and no one else with ncaa regulation issues is going to play, we should contact deadspin/gawker media and see if they'll sponsor the matches. i bet they would.

Guys,

A lesson in procrastination. I saw this thread when it started and thought it was going to be just about the speculation of whether it was possible or not. Not an actual kick ass prop bet thread. So now I just wasted 20 minutes reading through it at work.

This thread is awesome.

Ok, just got back from the tennis court and will report my findings.

I tried playing as the catcher vs a good 6.0+ tennis player and was beating him with my bare hands. And I have never tried this before and have never played baseball in my life.

Then I tried with a glove and it was a joke, he could barely win a point.

I won't go into strategy here, but we were both amazed at how the thrower can take contol of the points.

So if Nick has done this before (which he has), he will have a huge edge against almost anyone outside very highly ranked players.

But in my original post on the topic I said I would play, so I am not backing out.

But I want to do it either for fun or for the minimum bet as I will forsure be the underdog, even with Nick using his barehands.

With a glove, Nick would be a HUGE favorite.

So Nick, I will play that Nov 4 weekend in Vegas but want to keep the stakes small and it will be even odds, you with no glove. And you will still be the favorite. Let me know.

Anyone who like the glove side should play Nick w/ racket for high stakes. Any college baseball players on 2+2 ?
