i'm really lost at your smoothcalls with the nuts (regardless of the ones you posted where he happened to have the higher nuts). where's the river push with this one?

you want him to push in another 10k with the straight? That is usually gonna be a pretty bad play on this board unless he has been going really nutso.

a cold call is when you call a bet or raise without having put any money in on the current street

how happy would you be if your opponent was smoothcalling you with AJ in spots like this on this board? makes it pretty dam easy to play the river and make thin value bets

fv, okay fair enough.

but how often are you raising vs smoothcalling the river in the AJ hand? against a player like Alaei who is clearly capable of making big calls and can have a LOT more than just the nuts or bluff here.

also, what about the K8 hand?

Stacks are too deep to raise the river here. I know Boosted would push if he started the hand with 7-8k.
