Those who have continued to play after the Empire split will receive full payment for October. I will likely not even make my quota for MGR this month, so those that chose to jump ship will forfeit your payments to cover my obligation to my loyal customers. Any remaining funds will be used to cover website costs, employee payments, and referral bonii.

Dear BusterStacks,

You are a dirtbag. I looked at your picture gallery -- you look like the punkass shitbag you are.

The very idea that you'll cover your expenses first, and pay people you have agreements with only if you can afford to (or feel like it) makes you a thief (and not even a thief of reasonable character).

You, sir, are a scumbag. Gentlemen, get the noose:

In short: If you bailed, you're SOL. You know who you are.

I assure you this sucks much more for me than it does for you, however my priority is the small group of people who have decided to see this thing through. We all knew this day would come, and it has been shitty for everyone involved. My apologies to everyone, hopefully you can see where I'm coming from. It's been a hell of a ride.

Must be nice to be able to make up your business rules as you go along. If you ever try anything like this in a real business (with a defined product) where your customers aren't faceless internet users you'll be sued and possibly face criminal charges.

Just because your business is no longer profiting as much as it was doesn't mean you can run away with your customers money to cover your own expenses. If you're too much of a shortsighted dipshit to properly plan your business for negative eventualities like this one then you shouldn't be in business in the first place.

Edit: This ass used his 2+2 account to scam 2+2'ers out of thousands of dollars. If thats not reason enough for him to be banned from these forums, I don't know what is.

rakeback works like this. money in > money out. always. his tiers at empire are locked in. he gets XX%. and pays out 30%. he is always making more then he is paying out, unequivocably.

[/ QUOTE ]

if this is true then I take back everything I have said in this thread. I was under the impression that if he doesnt have high enough MGR, then he doesnt get the XX% that he normally gets. If he still gets that same number, then I totally agree with you and everyone else in this thread.

[ QUOTE ]

NL, i recall helping you out in the past and trying to establish some working relationships, why have you been so quick to jump down my throat or anyone associated with my sites?

[/ QUOTE ]

When did I say anything about you or about your site? I seriously do not remember anything of the sort, please correct me if I am wrong. I honestly dont even know which site is yours...

Like a lot of others, I have been a little skeptical of this forum in general, but I dont blame you guys for the way you handle your business.

[ QUOTE ]
and why on earth would you defend an affilaite who clearly is a rogue???

[/ QUOTE ]

like I said, if what you say is true, then I am in no way defending what buster is doing. I still think people are overreacting though. I hadnt even planned on asking my affiliate for my october rake. (I stopped playing on empire right after teh split.)

Paying out of your own pocket, outright stealing all of their money, or just paying them so you breakeven or make a little profit out of it.

[/ QUOTE ]

If he is actually profiting on octoboer, then I agree with all of you that he is a dirtbag. I guess I sorta misinterpeted his post. I assumed he wasnt even going to make enough to pay his players who did stay. But I guess it sounds like he will be able ot pay them and then some. I agree the extra money should go to the other players, but it would be pretty tough to split up fairly and I dont think you can expect him to cover the rest out of his own pocket.

He gave you guys a higher % than anyone else, and most of you ditched other affiliates to take advantage of his offer. He isnt screwing you any more than you screwed your previous affiliates. As someone who never got more than 25%, I would have been perfectly happy to sacrifice one week worth of Oct. rake for 5% more the rest of the months.

edit-to say I am in no way connected to buster and he was not even my affiliate. I just think you guys are overreacting and are pretty quick to judge someone who is obviously in a pretty ugly situation.

[/ QUOTE ]

Heres the very basics of what i know about the affiliate business. An affiliate is set with a base earn rate, and a target that if they meet, they get a higher percentage. This is based on mgr. However, its not a game-over situtation ifyou fail to meet your target. From most affiliates ive talked to, you still get x percentage. Im assuming that busterstacks deal with empire works the same way.

While there might be additional costs accrued by running a medium-sized affiliate program, i can't imagine those costs are all-consuming, especially given the way buster has run his program (which up till now ive had nothing but a positive experience with). Even if those costs are going to consume the totality of any earn WE PLAYERS have made for busterstacks, before he reniggs n our aggreement, he should at least offer a little more trasnperency other than the one post he has made. There is a way he couldve handled this situation, and he chose pretty much the exact opposite.

Also. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? You honestly feel this way? You are okay with your affiliate just deciding to not pay you with no explanation? As someone who i have always suspected of being intelligent, clearly this is unexpected.

peace

Like you, Buster is not my affiliate. I've always gotten a good % and never had any problems with the guy I use.

Buster's post, however, indicates that he is a dirtbag. Think about it--it's not like Empire isn't paying out money for that period. I would understand prorating everyone's rakeback for the reduced percentage due to lower MGR, but that's not what Buster is doing. He's taking the money that Empire does give him and using it to cover personal expenses that shouldn't have anything to do with his obligations to his players.

i just realized something. this forum may have provided another service. if buster has any conscience or respect for himself, this outcry should force him to pay out his players instead of taking a payday for himself.

please note, without this forum this debacle he has created would never have a place to be spoken about....cough, cough...

If Buster doesn't pay his clients, someone should figure out his personal information and give it to those who were [censored] over by him.

Buster isn't my affiliate, sorry for those of you who will pay Buster's bills because he can't manage his roll.
