Hmm, as my meory is weak I can't remember any major major losses in 24h periods, last recent ones was about 55-60k loss last month, and oh yea had one -30k day aswell, this was at plo2000
I think i've had a maybe 4 50k+ losses in 24h lifetime. It hurt my soul the first time i tell you!

My biggest loss is much smaller than you guys'. That's because when I am losing that much, I quit for the day. Therefore, biggest loss is 12K, playing 2 tables of 1-2. Live, I haven't lost that much in a day.

My stop loss is about 50 big bets. Why on earth would you keep playing after losing 50 or 60 bets? Granted, if you are playing tons of tables, this number would increase, but you shouldn't be playing 8 tables of 100-200.

BTW, I know who would completely own this thread, and it's none of you guys - we'll see if he posts it, but I don't htink he reads this forum.

Oh yea and a stop loss makes very little sense to me if u are a disciplined player. It sounds like u set a stop loss because u arent disciplined enough to play your best when stuck and take advantage of favorable situations that can arise while losing in a game? I 7 table 30-60 sometimes. When I am down 3000 I am supposed to stop for the day? I am a professional poker player, why would I stop after 45 minutes when I have a huge expecation for the rest of the day? I have also been stuck in live 100-200 games about 11K only to get even at 5 AM because I continued to play well, finally started to hit hands, noone adjusted and most importantly "THE GAME WAS TILL GREAT!" How could staying be wrong just cause I hit some made up stop loss? Oh yea, and I just realized this might hi-jack this thread which would suck. So I am probably not gonna respond too much more...but u can obviously have your turn

35k in 24 hrs in the stars 1-2, last 20 or so to jdags and rabs. The session finished about 3am, the night before Easter, having to wakeup early and drive a little over an hour to grandma's for brunch. Puting on a happy face and dealing with relatives was about the last thing I wanted to do. Them talking about whatever they talk about while I sit there and stew in pity. Finally my sister asked me something and I say something along the lines, of losing a minivan the night before and not in the mood right now...

you chose to describe losing 35k as "losing a minivan"?

16k about a month and a half ago. I have a feeling you are gonna take the title on this one, but if we ever have a who has dropped the most on strippers and booze in a 24 hour period contest, Im probably a big favorite. That is unless Nomar shows up.

Now that's got to be a good story.

It was about 2 months ago. i was playing 150-300 and 200-400 on ub. the day had started out quite well and before dinner i was up about 12k. then about 11 i figured "hey i am running good( and i had been for a few days) i'll get anouther session in". and boom right away i am down like 8k, playing one table of 150-300, so i fire up 1 table of 200-400 hu, and win like 4k right away. i also get back a little on the 150 table and am also even. i close the hu table and get back to even maybe even a few hundreed ahead. so i figure sweet this is more like it i am a little tierd but lets win anouther couple k to cap off a great day. so i get in anouther 200-400 game and at first it is back and forth. he is very very very aggressive, but i am using it against him a little bit, getting him to burry himself when he is way behind. then boom he starts hitting everything, i mean everything, just totally nuts. for ex. one hand
I have AsKs on the button i raise, he 3 bets I 4 bet, he 5 bets and I call.
flops is Ah8h9s, or something like that, and we go 6 bets.
turn is a blank, and i bet, he raises, and i 3 bet, and he calls.
river is a heart and i bet, he raises and I call.
he has 3h2h.
I mean i guess that is not that bad of a beat at all but it gives you some sense of how aggro he was and how big the pots were getting.
thgere were also a bunch of hands were I would 4 bet with something like AQ, AJ, AT pf and he would 5 bet and i would call down, correctly almost everytime. he would have something like A7 and hit his kicker on the river. so i was just generally running bad and losing the max, and i ended up losing 35k to him and giving back 10 in the 150-300 game. that was one night were i hated poker totally.
dave
p.s. it was dumbanimal who got it.
