Default quick newb question

When I try to load the hand histories in PT they won't show up. It occurs to me that i could just copy and paste into a txt file but is there a better way?

Create a shortcut to freephg.exe, right click, properties, edit the command line.

Ok, i created the shortcut. I go to properties and it has 'target' and 'start in'. Target is the one im supposed to edit? It says "C:\Program Files\PartyGaming\PartyPoker\HandHistory\Vegas27\F reePHG_v0_06b\FreePHG.exe"

I tried "C:\Program Files\PartyGaming\PartyPoker\HandHistory\Vegas27\F reePHG_v0_06b\FreePHG.exe-e txt"

and

"C:\Program Files\PartyGaming\PartyPoker\HandHistory\Vegas27\F reePHG_v0_06b\FreePHG.exe"-e txt

and it just keeps saying path is invalid. what do i need to do?

You need a space between the " and the -e.

This is not a bump
New CPU oddity:

When datamining w/ out playing I am running:
FreePHG.exe -d 3000 -6max -0
iwitness
PT: generic import: hhf going to bogus .exe program folder

W/ 11 tables open, over 2 hours, cpu use stays stable, 1-30%

I then restart my confuser and play. In addition to the above programs (minus iwitness), i'm running:
MTH
PAH
Sixth sense

I open 4-6 tables, cpu is fine. Over the course of the next 90 minutes I open and closes many tables and am playing at 5 (that I opened early) while mining 5 others, and soon the cpu is getting pegged every few seconds and everthing slows way down. I close sixth sense and observed tables, yet cpu is still getting hammered . The most intensive programs now are Party and PT, which were fine early. It appears that these programs are increasing their demand over time while I'm playing, but not when datamining.

Does this have something to do with the accumulation of more and larger .hhf in the party folder (i.e., my hands over 90 minutes)? If so, would setting freephg to convert hhf to text help? I think this would mean that both observed and played hands would be saved to the same PT database, which is ok.

Any advice? Thanks!

Tera

I cant really see an explanation, but even for me Party seems to be running badly lately (even for datamining). I used to be able to mine 3 clients without too many problems, but recently just 2 clients maxes my CPU.

It could be Party's mem leak or it could just be Party being Party (the monster slider is a classic example of Party's coding).

PT might get slower and slower as the .hhf files get bigger (it it saved a file pointer and did a seek at the start of each cycle then .hhf size wouldn't be a problem), but I'm not sure how PT is implemented. It could be worth a try.

re: PT's importer

as I understand it the lightning bolt importer is sensitive to file sizes, the party specific importer is not.

Cool (I never knew that!), this could explain some of the problems I've had in the past then.
