Default How do i access the PTAGG database ?

Hey,

I want to be able to use SS at my laptop and need to move the PTAGG database to that computer. My plan is to do a backup on PTAGG in PT and then restore the database in PT at my laptop.

How do I access the database in PT?? When in PT->Utilities->PostgreSQL database functions, I cant see the PTAGG in the dropdown list of "Database:". If i could do that then i would be able to do a backup on it and restore it at my laptop.

The strange thing is that I can see the PTAGG database in the "Select database" dropdown list of the "delete a database" panel on the same screen! Any ideas on how I can make PT SEE my PTAGG database (at the right place)?

I figured it out now
The backup of my DB is however only 4.4 MB and took only like 3 seconds to make! I had a PT DB with almost 2 million hand! Can this be right?

The PTAGG database isn't registered with PT, so it can't see it. You can still do backups & restores, but you must use the PGAdmin III utility to do it. This program is in the Postgres Icon group.

Do you mean Sixth Sense's Table grid? That only updates when you press the Refresh button.

v1.0.0.47 - 8/23/06

- Added: Advanced Options Dialog now has Hint Text at the bottom to explain the options
- Added: PTAgg now has an Options Tab.
- New option is "Batch Size". Increasing this may increase import speed.

Default Re: Pricing & Release for Sixth Sense

Very nice software, Ben.

It is working fine on my desktop computer (DT). However I wanted to use it on my laptop as well, which is on a network with my DT. I installed SS on laptop and finally figured out how to get it to recognize the access db on the DT. However when I start up SS now on the laptop I get the message Download Error: HTTP/1.1 500 Internal Server Error. Do I need to do something special to get SS to connect with your servers from my laptop? Or maybe I need a different username/pw for the laptop. Will I be able to run both at the same time? (I want to use SS on my laptop to aid with datamining while I play on the DT.)

(BTW, never could get it to use the postgres db - some problem finding a system32 dll over the network)
