Ok, so there is a 2-5 NL game that I play in, it has a $25 cap pre flop. This acts as a (safety) net for the fish. So there are 3-5 players to a flop. I believe this makes any pair playable, because pots get up to $200 quite often with hands as low as top pair vs. flush or straight draw. besides playing any pair from any position for a three of a kind, What other ways can I exploit the 25 cap? What ways might it hurt my play? I can see how capping it with hands like aces and kings and Ak could be picked up on pretty easy. Anything else though? All feedback is really appreciated.

whats the buyin? 300? basically you need to see the flop with any PP.

Unless the other players are really bad, I would not play in a game like this. If they're that bad I'd make it $25 with anything I'd regularly raise.

I would exploit just by playing generally looser. I think suited connectors in any position become much more valuable, in that you will generally have a multiway flop and not for more than 5x BB (which seems standard in casino games). Value of lower pocket pairs go up, while I would play my big pocket pairs more cautiously postflop (assuming there are 4-5 players in most of the time). I wouldnt cap with only AK/AA/KK though, you need to mix it up to some degree.
Basically, any high implied odds hand should be very profitable, since most flops are multiway - suitedness and connectedness is very important here. |

I think I would like this kind of game - it seems like it would be a fish magnet!

If it's a fish magnet, I'd play. If not, I hate that I can't protect my big pairs preflop.

Yeah, but you would just play more cautiously postflop. But other people wouldn't be playing so cautiously postflop with an o/p. Think of how many people you could stack with 33 and 78s

suited cards, connectors all go up in value, AK type hands go down. However, one of my weapons of the re-raise pf is gone, so I think this game sucks.

Meh. I hate gadgets like this. They make me uncomfortable. You're probably right, though.
