Right now, I think the only way to qualify for the monster via the cash-game tables is to be at a table when a BBJ hand hits at the same stakes and game you are playing.
I think this means that if you are playing 2/4 limit-monster and a BBJ gets hit on a different 2/4 limit-monster table then you will get a monster-entry.

[/ QUOTE ]

huh? I thought only that 1 table got the entries.

I'm sure this has been answered somewhere in the 79 pages that have been posted, but can someone give me a short answer regarding how many hands have to be played at a Monster table in order to qualify for the weekly freeroll?

[/ QUOTE ]hands played has nothing to do with it. You have to be at the table when the jackpot hits or win your way in through a 1 table satellite.

Can I qualify for the weekly freeroll by playing on any Bad Beat Jackpot table?
Yes. By playing on our Monster Bad Beat jackpot tables, you have a chance of hitting the Bad Beat Jackpot as usual, and you will also have the chance of receiving two entries to the Monster Weekly freeroll. Plus, if your table misses the jackpot while any other table of the same stakes, betting, and game type hits the jackpot, you will still win an entry to the Monster Weekly freeroll.

FAQ ftw

I believe he's talking about the points for entry system which has been 'coming soon' for awhile on the Monster page and I've seen it displayed as coming soon in one of the 'ads' in the Party lobby.

rjoefish read the same part of the rules that i did.

Everytime a jackpot hits that should be a few hundred entries that are doled out I guess (assuming I am interpreting it correctly).

They had over 5k players for the first weekly.
Certainly there weren't that many who qualified via the 1-table or MTT things nor were there that many who qualified just by being at a BBJ table.

I wouls guess that a majority of the 5k+ probably qualified by just playing the cash-games (monster tables) when a jackpot happened to hit elsewhere.

they haven't had any of their weekly 'points for monster-entry' promotions yet. They say they will have them, but they haven't announced any yet.

This is so [censored]. Cash games are funding the [censored] thing, but they aren't letting cash game player qualify.

No kidding.

bump for today's tourney. I'm in this one. I don't really care about the cash that much...just trying to make the 2000 so I can move on to the next step.

Same for me. I figured it would be a slow bubble because of this last week, but strangely, the bubble came at the same time as the players sitting out were blinded out, so it was a pretty quick affair.

Maybe the same thing today? Guy on my left is sitting out and has 1090 chips with 2845 people left. My bet is he'll just miss out.
