but they would also sit on their hands and keep their traps shut when thugs like Pol Pot, Saddam Hussein, and Robert Mugabe slaughter people.

but, of course, at Berkeley, everything is politicized to the point where you can't learn anything. You come out knowing what you came in--that is if you were properly indoctrinated to begin with.

POTD

I went to Oberlin for a year and I can tell you that you basically hit the nail on the head...

And dont forget the vegan-anti-Bush-anti-war-anti-corporate bumber stickers on the Landrover or Volvo daddy sprung for.

These animals will bitch and moan for days about the U.S. and Israel but wont lift a finger about less "sexy" problems like the Sudan.

[/ QUOTE ]

I think maybe calling people who disagree with you "animals" might be slightly over the top.

I thought it was a hilarious and highly entertaining interview. People getting angry about his brief political statement is even funnier. Even if Prahlad is right

Jesus, this is the worst thread ever. If I were a mod I would lock it, then print it out and burn it just to make sure I would never have to read this crap again.

As far as Prahlad goes, the interview was hilarious. It was almost like he wasn't even listening to the questions at first.

Interesting dichotomy between Annie Dukes reaction and His. One one hand, you have a person who starts crying about busting out in 88th place and on the other you have a person who's SMILING and light hearted after getting out drawn just near the final table.

I gained a [censored] of respect for him as a person after this interview

[/ QUOTE ]

You mean when he was throwing his all-in chip and taunting and goading Jamie Gold? Yea, Nice and peaceful Prahlad Friedman. Hell of a guy!

Next time answer the question from the poker reporter about poker and butt-out of world affairs. Or atleast try not to attack another player at the table with your all-in chip.

Prahlad Friedman = Douchebag Plus Size

Just wondering about how much of ur bankroll did Prahlad Friedman win from u?

my guess is all of said bankroll.

[/ QUOTE ]

Never met him nor played against him do I have any desire to. He's a vastly superior poker player to me I can guarantee (but then again so is about 99% of the people on here).

He's already king dork for his lame raps. Now he's a pathetic little moper.

Friedman is just another in a long line of patently absurd phonies.

You have an interesting line of logic.

Actually, you and he missed the nail's head by a friggin mile. Berkeley is a diverse campus and college community, in which there are just as many conservative leaning students as there are liberals. You take from it what you want.

sekrah---how was what he said anti-war at all? i thought what he said was completely relevant. when people are interviewed in sports after a loss, and say it's the worst feeling ever, remember it's just a [censored] game, and that people are dyinig all over the world, and would love to only win 500k.

[/ QUOTE ]

Exactly. All it shows is that he actually has some perspective.

"I'm happy with all the war" doesn’t take a side, is not anti Bush...I think people assume, or equate Berkley with liberal, therefore his comment is negative. Yeah, opinion = huge douche.

Seriously, WTF. Right or left, war is brutal. I thought, like one of the posters mentioned, that when he made that statement it was perfect timing. You expect him to be pretty bummed after getting knocked out of the ME. Instead the guy has a great attitude and put things in perspective. All things considered, what can he really bitch about he's playing poker.

Watching the interview all I was really thinking was: can this really be the same guy that rambles incoherently in chat...typing like English is his second or third language?

Whatever, a little "wish I was from Compton" accent going on, but great finish. Congrats
