Front first, that's how you park when you're pulling a bank job!

Backing in is usually better. Because the front wheels turn, it's actually easier to get into and out of a parking spot if you back in. Also, visibility is better when coming out of the spot, and for crowded events where everybody's leaving at the same time, it's easier to squeeze into traffic if you're heading out instead of backing out.
