Really? With this all in push fest? I bet Gold doesn't finish in the top 4.

[/ QUOTE ]

All he has to do is finish 8th to beat your chop.

His EV in with his stack has to be something like 3.5M, taking a 50% reduction in his equity of the prize pool to reduce variance would be beyond terrible.

Looks like the chop amount for 27 players would be about $1.86 million each.

Assuming you could, would you make the deal? I would, even if I was Jamie Gold.

From CP:

1
$12,000,000

2
$6,102,499

3
$4,123,310

4
$3,628,513

5
$3,216,182

6
$2,803,851

7
$2,391,520

8
$1,979,189

[/ QUOTE ]

If he finishes in the top 5 he almost doubles the deal you would take... so he doesn't have to finish top 4. Even if he finishes in 8th it's still a better deal.

M means nothing to most of the players left. (Rizen, Cunningham, Lisandro, the other two 2+2ers excluded)

[/ QUOTE ]

I'd say Prahlad belongs in that group too.

[/ QUOTE ]

I was going to put him in after Lisandro, but looked away from the PC and forgot him. He belongs in that list.

Gold has been in a lot of pots, but he's also been getting in those pots (normally) with good hands. Plus, he can afford to take a couple coin flips right now. People aren't giving him enough credit.

Despite some of the earlier accusations of "Donk" play from Gold, he has grown his stack nicely. It sounds kind of like how this chipleader guy named Raymer played two years ago.

Clearly neither one of you deals with a nervous system disorder every day. Let's hope you never do.

Dude, if you are sensative about something like that -- which is clearly in bad taste -- you aren't in the right place. Get used to it, ignore it, or move on -- because you won't change it.

Actually, in the forums I moderate I'd suggest that you do otherwise. If something is offensive and getting in the way of the discussion it's toast.

[/ QUOTE ]

Relax Lloyd ... I was not the OP. All I did was tell 2 posters, one of whom is quite new, that the best thing to do with that type of post is to ignore it.

Now, exactly what is would you suggest that I do or not do in your forum?

if you read golds bio he already loaded as hell anyway. I'm sure the ecitement/title?chance at 12mil are worth way more to him than the $700k or so if her goes out in 27th

People are reacting like they are throwing chips around from the reported hands. They don't report the hands where a raise takes the pot preflop. Is the play really that loose?

I tried to post this as a separate thread.
