I might be too late for this, but I'll give $50 to the first person to get themselves into an infomercial. Simply take a few good photos of yourself making you look as fat as you can, then after loosing some weight show relevant parties your before and after photos, do infomercial, then become an OOT superstar [/ QUOTE ] btw what I mean by infomercial is those things where they are advertising some gimick, like bowflex or something, that they claim will make you lose weight. You pretend that's how you lost weight. |

Good: I still haven't had a sip of booze. I never really realized how much drinking I really did before this, as I've had to turn down booze every single day since I've decided to cut back. Bad: I can't deal with healthy snacks apparently. I bought some really good (calorically) frozen yogourt and a few bags of really delicious rice chips that are packed with flavour. Anyways basically first night I decided to have a small snack it turned into a big snack which turned into me just pulverizing an entire bag of the rice chips and denting the frozen yogourt. Now on the one hand, gorging like I did on these low-cal foods was probably a sub-500 calorie slip up, compared to what would have easily been a 2000+ calorie slip up six months ago, but on the other hand, I just hate that I have it in me to so destructively binge eat anything and I'm pretty much just done having quick and easy snacks around me. So eff it. Kettlebell work is going great and so is walking frequently. I still need to work on drinking more water. I'm doing okay, but I want every day to be a big water day. |

Keep it up, Jeff. Good job. You're clearly the winner in this thread. Learning to snack reasonably is really, really rough. I basically just don't snack anymore because when I do I do too much...it takes a while, but my body eventually got used to it. My mid-afternoon fiber supplement (orange-flavored sugar free) is what I use to fill me up until dinner nowadays...works well for me, might be worth a try. I do 2 big glasses of water, 3 teaspoons each. That stuff expands in your stomach and if you're not stuffed after doing the 2, pounding a 3rd glass of water will pretty much do you in.

Fiber supplement, eh? What brand do you recommend?
My problem is definitely not discipline during the day. It's always at night, just before bed. That's when I'm ALWAYS weakest. |

I just do the sugar free orange flavored metamucil...should be available at any grocery store.
For just before bed, sugar-free jello's always a good option...they have it pre-made in the refrigerated section if laziness for making it is a factor (if you eat much of it, it gets annoying to be constantly making it). My favorites are the lime, orange and cherry. I'm not a big fan of the fruit punch or raspberry flavors because they taste too much like sugar replacer for my taste (though a lot of people disagree). Have you tried the between the legs kettlebell pass yet? That's my favorite at this point. I'm thinking I might try the turkish get up soon, but it's still kind of intimidating... If you don't mind making it and want some variety, you can make sugar-free jello out of sugar-free Kool-Aid. The tropical punch is g00t.
1 packet Kool Aid 1 box plain gelatin 2 cups boiling water Splenda to taste |

280.5 - The First 50 down!
Woohoo!! Today has been my first day weighing myself in 12 days. Last weekend was my big camping trip that I have been planning forever, and it was awesome! There were about 50 people there and I got so many comments on my progress! I also drank an INSANE amount of booze but managed to still eat pretty reasonably throughout the weekend. Once you get into a groove of thinking about nutrition it's actually HARD to just say eff it and have that second hamburger. Good: Walking is going well. I've really slacked off kettlebells for the last week or so, it seems like I'm doing something fun that leaves me sore every other day! I'm going to get back at it either today or tomorrow though! I haven't tried the between the legs pass yet, bb, but I will! I'm also eyeing those turkish getups, I'll try both and report back at my next weigh-in! Bad: Not much, gotten drunk a couple nights this week after the camping trip which represents a return to my old habits, which is no good, so I'm going to be stricter with the drinking again. One night last week I got super weak and ate a bag of Sweet Chili Heat Doritos, which were delicious but it was just a small slip. Feeling good, motivated, focussed, etc! To my fellow fatties, start updating your progress in this thread again! It's like a ghost town now! |

Oh, I forgot to mention, I'm now taking the following each day:
2 x GNC Mega Men Multivitamin 2 x 50mg 5-HTP 3 x 150mg Green Tea Extract 3000mg of Piracetam 1500mg of Choline I feel great! I've also started adding three tablespoons of flax seed to my oatmeal in the mornings for more fiber and good fat. It's also delicious in oatmeal! |

God damn, Jeff, once again you rule. Nice work. I have a feeling that the rest of the people from this thread aren't posting because your work proves that they're failing due to themselves. Your ass-kickery puts them to shame. The only way to do it is to do it, and you're doing it. You should be proud.
I'm thinking I need to throw some new stuff into my KB routine as well, btw, so the turkish getup may be in the stars for me before too long. I've been doing the same routine for a while now - KB at 42.5 lbs, sets of 10 for Clean & Presses and 1 armed swings, sets of 20 for through-the-leg passes forwards and back, sets of 30 for around-the-body passes forward and back, and a dumbbell for curls. At this point the workout takes about 1 hr 15 mins on MW and 1:45 on fridays when I throw in extra sets, which is a *long* time, so I think I need to come up with a new routine that works me harder for less time. I could up the weight, but I'd enjoy the challenge of picking up some new lifts. If anybody's got suggestions, I'd love to hear them...I wish gunny were still around to help out with this. I think I'll go bump the KB thread with this same question... Congrats again, Jeff- -bb. |
