[ QUOTE ]
Does anybody know if they are running the el cheapo sats for us low limit dudes? I'm talking about the $50 or $65 sattelites. Thanks in advance. [/ QUOTE ] the $65's were only for the first three days. they're gone. the $125's are the cheapest, but the $175's are the lowest limit that seems to be constantly running. (this because the winner pulls 1500 in chips which is equal to quite a few event prices.) i've played three $175's and cut deals in all three so far. if i had a bigger sack i'd move up - but i'm a puss. |

Completely agree.
I have had moderately better luck at these same limits, although I also play $125's and $175's which seem to zip along much faster. I've cashed in about 5 out of 12 total, with one big return in a no chop win. I've ran pretty well...but the cards are almost a necessity....as the lightning rounds and short stacks take a ton of maneuvering out of the games. |

A few days before the ME last year I'm pretty sure they were running the $50's and $65's. Pretty sure I played in one of the $65's. If you tell them that you are interested in this level they might try to start one up for you. That's pretty much how it works a lot of the time. And it seemed to continue at the WSOP-circuit (many of the same people) when they came to Tunica. Couple would ask about STT's. And they would say, "What buy-in do you guys want?" You probably won't be the only one looking to slum it down in the $50's. But beware of the format. I think the stacks are even smaller in the $50's (only $800 start-chips instead of $1k in the $125's perhaps??). |

are they getting alot of $1k SNGs or is it all <500? do these 1k SNGs start up all the time every day or does it take a long while? ill be flying out to vaygus wednesday btw [/ QUOTE ] the frequency seems roughly 125, 525, 1030, 175, then the rest. 1030s ran a ton whenever I was there. lineups were not easy though. |

Will they still be running these things next week after the ME is well under way? I assume you can still use these lammers for the $1500 buy-ins that are scheduled for next week.

I am going out for Sat's event 41 (1500 nl) that i won my local group's satellite into from my home game, but my wing man wants to try and get into it by sitting in on a satellite and i'd like a little vegas table nerve breaker too so i would like to play one. We hit town Fri (tomorrow, cool) and would love to know what the current situation is

We hit town Fri (tomorrow, cool) and would love to know what the current situation is [/ QUOTE ] I can only speak for yesterday (Wednesday). They were running $175 SNGs in the satellite area. For most of the afternoon, you simply walked up to the next table to go, picked up a card to get your seat assignment, and paid your $175. Later in the evening, they did start a list. There didn't seem to be a long wait though, as they had quite a few going. $175 to get in, winner takes 3 $500 tournament chips (not redeemable for cash, only for entries into WSOP tourneys) plus $120 cash. For this money, you receive 1K in tournament chips. Levels are 15 minutes long, although once there was a dealer push when we were supposed to have a level increase, and none of us volunteered to the dealer that we should raise the blinds. Blinds are: 25/25 25/50 50/100 100/200 150/300 200/400 I never made it more than 2 hands into 200/400. It is winner take all, but chops were plentiful. Play is bad, but again, it becomes a lottery pretty quickly. There may be other single table tourneys, but on Wednesday they only had the $175. Considering the rest of the events (IIRC) are 1500 or 1000 I would imagine there'd be no reason to run more expensive tourneys. Hope this helps. |
