As for stars, I find it really really hard to play with the small tables on their site for some reason. I think I have a hard time seeing the chip counts for some reason. I guess im just going to have to sit in my room and play cideogames til party gets its act together.

Small tables? The tables are adjustable and the default size is the same as the party default I believe. Also I really had trouble adjusting to stars at first but after a black and grey table mod, going through every option available in their software and adjusting it to my preference, and just practicing a little bit on lower stakes I have little problem with stars. Seriously though go through every option in their software and mess with it, you can customize a lot of things. On second thought, just keep on playing video games and stay off my tables

Ok, I send them an email telling them that I'm pissed off and they better do something about it. Got a great response:

Dear Player,

Thank you for contacting us.

We are sorry you are not getting options on table and experiencing connectivity
issues and understand how frustrating this can be.

Your Internet Service Provider (ISP) connects you to the tables on our Game
Servers. Every time you connect to the main lobby, your link uses a network of
servers on the Internet. These network connections are decided by your ISP.

When you connect to the tables, each table is again connected to our Game
Servers through individual sets of network connections on the Internet. Each of
these network connections uses multiple intermediate servers and each of these
servers handles not only your connection, but also various other connections
routed through them from the Internet. This puts a lot of strain on the
intermediate servers. Some of the servers are capable of handling heavy loads
and are very stable, but some of them are not. A weak server will randomly
select a connection passing through it and disconnect the subscriber. This is
why players experience sudden disconnections from tables even though they are
still able to browse through the Internet or even play other tables.

We fully understand that it is not a problem from your end. However, as
explained above, if there is a weak server on the network connection that your
ISP has chosen to connect to our Game Servers, it is quite possible that you
might get disconnected from a table.

In order to resolve your issue, we recommend that in future you please shut down
and restart your computer before logging back in. You will then be taken
directly to your tournament table.

Should you require any further assistance, please contact our 24/7 Customer Care
Department.

Do they think I have all day to act on my tables and I can just shut down my computer for several minutes and then miss all tables, or what.

i had to stop using PAHUD (the "n" version) since it would take forever to display the players stats (up to five minutes per player). also, my hard drive was running like crazy. maybe i've set something wrong...

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm also using the "n" version beta for PAHUD. I haven't been able to build a cache (although never had one before) and it does seem less stable. I assume I can roll back to an earlier version, since the last few downloads are stored on my hard drive.

for those who haven't done so with beta version "n"...

go to preferences -> databases to enable caching. be sure to start this when your computer is not in use.

i just finished the caching procedure. (over 2hrs). according to josh, this was normal for large PT databases. actually, if you're gonna do it, he mentioned defrag and vacuum before starting. of course, still need to import via mail. i'm glad the (existing) player stats and showdown info are back. it all seems to work fine except a few more flickers of the stats. HD import is not working but thats a party issue.

also, i had to agree with dead$$$walking. i've had next to no problems 4 tabling speeds (from 6). fwiw though, i always restart party after each set.

Well I am rather upset that party's incompetence has cost both me and them several thousands of dollars in EV while they've been down. I had a chance to play a lot this past week and a half for various reasons. I'm also leaving for vegas and possibly Arizona soon so I was looking forward to getting in a lot of games in beforehand.

Yeah. View->Themes->Hyper-Simple Theme. Basically a black table mod w/ "Waffle" cards, built in.
