Obviously, one would have had to like Hanks to like Castaway. Surprised it took this long for someone to catch this. lol. Good catch! Refill your Sarcasotector 2500 plz. In Contact, at the end when the woman said that there were 18 hours of static on the tape, thus confirming that Jodi Foster's version of the events was correct. This movie would have been phenomenal without that.

The 25 mins in war of the worlds where Cruise and his daughter take refuge with the shotgun wielding psycho paedophile take a lot away from what is a well paced film up until that point. Didn't ruin my enjoyment the first time through, but always keeps me from rewatching it.
Hunt for Red October. Love this the whole way through, but Clancy just has to find some implausable (and completely anticlimatic) gunfight to put in at the end of it. |

The lobotomy at the end of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. It's part of what makes the movie great of course, but just so painful to watch.
The ending of Contact. What a lame ending to an otherwise awesome movie. |

[/ QUOTE ] You realize this is a MOVIE thread right? Clancy had nothing to do with this "implausible" gunfight of which you speak... |
