I think it's a reasonable request, but I don't like how it might be construed as, "Well, you can post in OOT with that avatar, but if you want to post in TLDR, you'll have to change it." Seems like something that'll be keeping people out of here. Someone like PITTM, whose TLDR-inappropriate avatar is so distinctive of him likely wouldn't bother changing it. Also, infrequent or former visitors with old posts in an on going thread might be put off at being asked to change their avatars when they don't even come here anymore.

so you all know, I have extremely limited access for the next few weeks - not only is it very occasional, but I can't actually see graphics, but I'va asked other mods to act until I do get some decent access.

Please abide by their requests, or I will be acting on their recommendations.

DB, I think you need to write a primer on how to respond to posts in an orderly fashion. Replies to the OP are all over the place.

I don't post in here a whole lot, but I do like this forum.

I think this new avatar policy is going to do a great job of excluding people from here, instead of including them.

If there's going to be restrictions on avatars, they should be 2+2 wide, not limited to one sub-forum.

I realize I just paraphrased MrWookie's post, but he's right.

PUT A RESTRICTION ON ALL AVATARS!!!

I'm sick and tired of seeing half naked women, jiggling breasts, and the Olsen twins every other damn post.

This is an exclusive forum.

If people want to be outlandish we have more than one place for them to go right on this site.

I don't see this being an issue for those that want to be in "the lounge".

Consider it a dress code.
