Default Re: two hands from today\'s $1500 NLH at WSOP

Some of this may be restatement, but I wanted to get out why open pushing in hand 1 seems bad.

Open pushing hand 1 seems very bad because you're only getting called by a K (AK/KQ/KJ seem somewhat likely) . . . . It allows the LP player to fold all the middle pair hands and call with all the TP hands . . . in other words allow him to play absolutely correctly.

Check/push to a bet from the LP player will allow you to snap off position bets and middle pairs (maybe even suck in middle pairs), while still getting broke against the TP hands. Even if MP checks KQ/KJ to trap the late position player, LP bets, you push, MP calls . . . at least there's more $$ in the pot when you do spike a Q on the turn or river as opposed to open pushing . . .

Hand 2 is an easy fold. With more chips, this might be the spot for a play, but you're just too short to create any FE. . .
