in the preview for next week, the new canadian player.. is that "krisqueen" from internet fame by any chance? i know he's canadian and a very good player.

No, it's Yukon Brad Booth, probably the furthest thing there is from an internet player. He ran a game in a fishing shack in BFE Yukon for a bunch of years, and now he lives at Bellagio (to the tune of about $40k/mo.) and plays daily in the biggest NL cash games they spread there.

Actually, Yukon Brad played online for years, and still plays the 50-100 game on UB fairly regularly.

Oh, I didn't know that. But he certainly isn't just a guy who is trying to jump cold out of online play into a big live cash NL game. I guess my point was that this is what he does every day.

Not to be a jackass or anything, but everyone is saying Jen is amazing at changing gears in NL, but it was kinda obvious her loose-aggressive play was largely affected by the beer.

I didn't understand the hand where DN flopped the wheel and was raised by Jenn who then hit the nuts on the turn. DN folded to her smallish bet on the turn which seemed a bit odd. Is DN that great of a player?, maybe, but that hand made me believe something else was going on. Aren't the two good friends?

I wonder why Shieky hasn't sat down. There has been an open seat for a while, and even Todd pointed it out to him during this show.

For the entire day he has been in the background. Just hanging out?

Also, wonder why Deeb is conspiciosuly absent this season? Other plans?

All in all, this is still the best poker show, bar none.

Sheiky is backing Matusow (how's that for irony?), so the producers of the show will not allow the two to play at the same time. As for Deeb, he mentioned on "The Circuit" during the WPT Championship that he had some other commitment during the taping and wasn't able to play.

That Mike Matusow call was an awesome call with bad results. When Daniel mentioned the jack of hearts line, Matusow knew he wasn't on a flush draw. The call was great, it just sucks DN was on a straight draw instead.

I think Daniel makes the same bluff at it if the deuce of hearts falls, and Mike Matusow looks like awesome instead of stupid.

Seriously, given the table talk it was an awesome call.

wow that's stupid, why doesn't he actually buy a place to live if he makes that much? also creates a higher risk of ruin.

>>>Of course MM's quick call of $40k on the river with top pair horrible kicker when both the flush and straight draws get there will go down in the HSP hall of shame.<<<

Mike was sure that Daniel didn't have the flush because of Daniel's comment about the J of hearts before the river. (I couldn't believe it when I heard Daniel yapping away about the J hearts... talk about giving info away). If Daniel was really on the heart draw he wouldn't be talking about it. So when the heart fell, Mike decided Daniel was going to bluff the flush and he would check/call him. If it had been any other heart... Daniel bluffs, Mike calls with T2 and tells Daniel how bad he is...

[/ QUOTE ]

Unless it was any other heart that paired daniel giving him a higher pair
