As I recall, the monitor should just slide up and down on the stand when you apply pressure. Mine is stuck at the very bottom. Is there any kind of release mechanism at the bottom? It won't slide back up. Thanks.

My (samsung) monitors had a wire pin you needed to remove first. But it wasn't subtle; I'd think you'd notice it if you looked.

At least on my 2001fp, the Dell logo on the back of the stand is the release button.

Mine has a grey release button on the very bottom of the arm. IIRC, I had to push with a moderate amount of force and pull up on the screen at the same time.

Just force it. What could go wrong?

Just force it. What could go wrong? -Sam [/ QUOTE ] LOL I tried that. Thanks guys. There is a release button on the back of the stand. Mine is stuck though. Here's the kicker: Dell can't send me just a new stand, so they're sending a whole new monitor. That would be nice except mine is about a month old and working great, so it sucks to have to send it back. (unless I can somehow keep both!) |
