While I believe that it should be above 50%, I think it should only be slightly, somewhere in the area of 50-52%. In limit you can afford to be >50% and still be a profitable poker player as it costs you relatively little to call a single bet at the river in comparison to the size of the pot, hence why you don't have to be right over half the time. I think 55-58% is a good statistic for NL, where those river bets can cost you a larger amount proportionately to the pot. |
