Hellmuth Arrives...Late Again
Phil Hellmuth arrives late, as per his style, in level 3 of the H.O.R.S.E. event.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, that's really going to intimidate the type of people in this field.

Man, there are a lot of one trick ponies whose only credentials are in NLHE tournaments in this event. Gotta believe a large portion of them have little shot.

Then again, as Greenstein once said (which is very ironic)- tournaments are an ego flaw.

[/ QUOTE ]

I read something where Fishman said when he won the HORSE event that he wasn't that comfortable with a couple of the variations (Stud and Razz I think) so he just played Uber tight during those levels and acumulated his money in Holdem and Omaha.

So you can do well if you are a one trick pony provided you know how to adjust.

[/ QUOTE ]

One can also be an uber-douche and stall during these rounds. I see that in FullTilt HORSE tournaments all the time.

Didn't Bloch bend all the cards the first time around? I'm confused how they got into play again without anyone noticing that they were sticking up from the table at right angles.

They gave them a deck that was new to the table but not new from the deck I think.

Excuse me for complaining, but...

Isn't Razz an extremely dead game? How often is it actually put in mixed cash games anymore?

[/ QUOTE ]

FWIW, 5/10 and 8/16 Razz cash games are pretty frequent on FullTilt. Only one table at a time, but something nonetheless. Negreanu mentioned Razz as part of the Big Game , I believe.

This time there are marked cards at John Hennigan's table as he pointed out a bent Ace of spades. Doyle Brunson and Scott Fischman both voiced their concerns that the table needed new cards and the situation was "terrible." Fischman commented on the situation that "All the cards are marked."

They're supposed to going break after Razz ends. Hopefully someone will wise up and replace ALL the cards in the HORSE tournament.

I actually saw the opposite of this in the last $200 HORSE tourney I played on Full Tilt. Someone was stalling during the Limit Hold'em levels because they didn't like limit HE. He literatlly took his entire clock every decision. It was quite frustrating.
