I suspect that OP is now playing WoW insted of responding to questions in the thread. Seems like we have a pattern. GL MSN.

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Hey question for you. I was telling some friends that you were the creator of undo. I seem to remember you having a little plaque/award for this? They asked if you were also the creator of redo? I'd like to think so but.. Anything you could tell me about this? Warren Teitelman to me More options 2:19 pm(0 minutes ago) Yes. Both Undo and Redo were described in a paper I wrote about 1970. --- Well that wasn't as nearly as amusing as I hoped. [/ QUOTE ] coz to Warren More options 2:30 pm (0 minutes ago) Got a link to that paper, or the name of it? I think there's some sort of "web-site" that looks for things on the internet if you type in its name. [/ QUOTE ] I don't think that he probably thinks of it as amusing. Doing a bit of searching I found ftp://publications.ai.mit.edu/ai-pub...f/AITR-221.pdf Which I guess was part of his research when he was getting his Ph.D. If you look at page 39 (45 in the pdf) it discusses the idea of history, or having a list of changes. This was 1966 though, not 1970. The first paper on this page talks about history, undo, and redo as well. http://community.computerhistory.org...ISP/interlisp/ Ok, I've wasted enough time with that now. And for the OP, I used google for my searching, not msn. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Evan, You can post on 2p2, but not check your email at work? OTB [/ QUOTE ] Uh, yea. [/ QUOTE ] Just seems odd to me that they'd block gmail/hotmail etc., but allow something through that's primarily a gambling site. [/ QUOTE ] Regulators are worried about you sharing non-material info via personal e-mail, not chatting with a bunch of shut-ins about poker and hot chicks. [/ QUOTE ] I know many people who work at big NY banks who can't get on 2p2. I was surprised when Evan could. scrub |

also, the idea that you thought you somehow were so amazing at changing the name of a computer that a building full of computer geniuses wouldn't notice you playing WoW by doing things like say, looking at your monitor, is absolutely retarded. [/ QUOTE ] yeah, man. he should've changes his char name, too. untraceable, i say. |
