What is up with that flop raise? You have some more leeway to get a call there. He's either got KK/QQ and is not calling anything. Or he's got AK hands and is calling whatever you raise to. Or he's got AA and has you crushed.

His line is odd. It's got me stumped.

yeah AJ is right. either pot that or smoothcall. the truth is that is a bad flop when you called a blind's 3bet preflop for set value...

also raise to at least pot (3.50) preflop or go with the more typical $4.

i am checking behind on the turn as he is folding all hands we beat except A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K and K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]K and calling with a set of aces.

Default Why I raised on the flop

The flop raise was to see if he had AA which is the only hand I thought he might call that raise with. I was fine with winning what was in the pot atm. Since I think he would check-fold KK if I just called. And I didn’t think AK was among his reraising hands preflop. After his call I was almost certain he had AA, the Q of diamonds came on turn and he checked but for some reason I had to make a 20$ bet just to be sure. He called and I checked behind him on turn. Think I lost 20$ to much on that one. I like the flop raise since It tells me If 'm beat as long as I listen to it. I would have called probably if he was loose aggressive, but those preflop reraises usually mean a strong hand even then.
