He is on a few of my tables and the only hand we had a big confrontation in, he stacked me when I called a reraise preflop with 77 (I had my reasons) and pushed a low flop. He called with AA and stacked me.

What were your reasons for calling preflop? Also pushing a low flop with a small PP is horrible. I would rather push KQ than 77.

He went from normal to super aggressive on 3 tables at the same time for 30 seconds before this hand. While I was deciding he had reraises preflop in action on 2 other tables. I figured, incorrectly, that he was on tilt for some reason, or being super aggro for some other reason.

Why not push, I can maybe get him to fold a better hand and I can protect from overs. Sure I only get called when beat but there are advantages.

I like a push. Given your history I can actually see worse hands calling you here sometimes. And you protect your hand from overs. If he's got an over, whatever. Now you're aces will get paid off by 88 sometime down the road. I disagree with aba, people will reraise from the BB with KJ here for christ's sake and you'll feel really dumb when some random J hits the river and he ends up taking it down.

ahnuld, if i remember correctly the 77 hand, the flop wasn't a ragged flop. it was something like JJx, so essentially you were bluffing which i think is better than just pushing on a ragged flop hoping to be vs AK.

I bet 300, he moves in for my last 444, and I fold getting incredible odds. Smart, ok or stupid?

People tend to have very small reraising ranges in the BB in spots like these. Even three handed I probably fold preflop.

[/ QUOTE ]

Are you joking?

[/ QUOTE ]

No. This is not a squeeze situation. When a BB reraises here he usually has the goods, since, 1) he is OOP 2) there is not much money in the pot vs his reraise amount (risking 110 to win 50). Good players tend not to reraise OOP, with stacks this shallow without TT+ AK+.

this is so so so so so wrong
