im suprised that you guys are suprised. i would never put my kids in daycare either. most of the reason being that if youre going to have a kid you should put serious effort into their development, i believe a daycare hinders this development and shows kids a lower level of love and compassion than they need. fair?

Studies have shown that the daycare/no daycare decision has way less of an effect on the child than one would like to think.

Plus, I think my 3 year old self would trade away a few hours of parental love and copmassion each day for the opportunity for more social interaction than I'd get at home.
