I used to have a good friend who bartended at an Irish pub. He was "persona non grata" in Ireland. He used to love getting drunk and singing and yelling "oop the rah". Drunken former IRA gunmen are scary friend to have.

im in the US and my ancestry in irish. my brother is living other there now temporarily and loves it. im going to visit him in march which will be my first trip over there.

im looking forward to the trip itself but am also interested because that's where my family roots, ethnic identity, and family name are from.
