So there IS a point where the short stack is so likely to bust that I shouldn't push the two sevens? Give 900 of his chips to the Button so that he has only 300 chips left. Do I have a very clear fold then? |

Fold. You're not desperate with your current stack, and your pushing into a big stack which will call you with a pretty big range that will result in a coin flip majority of the time. If there wasn't a short stack in this about to enter the blinds, then the push would be good.
