[ QUOTE ]
villain is really weird first orbit: short-stack raises to 22 (he has 180 behind), i (600 behind) reraise to 72 w/AA, SB (800 behind) flat calls, short-stack pushes, i push, SB CALLS Me: AA short-stack: QQ SB: KdJd i hold up and scoop. SB about 3-4 orbits later does a weird button open limp-push over BBs raise. hand in question: villain is now UTG and raises to 22 i reraise AKo to 72 villain (750, i cover) pushes insta-call? [/ QUOTE ] If he was shorter, its easy call. I would prefer to fold here and lower the variance a bit. He has over a full buyin, I would rather wait for a better spot. gl |

yea this is an instacall in retrospect. the guy is dumb and has shown great evidence for dumbness. i called and was shown 88. final board came JJTT2 [/ QUOTE ] How often do you think AK is going to out run a pair? Of course this isn't always a pair. Usually you see this from short stacks and I pulled a number out of the air and said 99. So I call donk pushes with 99 or better. This is not to suggest that this is a good or better plan, just one that eliminates another decision and opportunity to make a mistake. |

Instacall, you know he does this with anything he raises/is pissed at you/both.
Sometimes you guys need more tourney donk advice. We're used to these. |

he barely ever needs to push with random hands to make this a good call, and he's already shown a propensity for getting all his money in preflop with fun suited hands

insta fold for me against this guy...seems like there will be plenty more opportunities to stack him [/ QUOTE ] not if someone else stacks him first. call this [censored]. if he stacks you, THEN you take your opportunities to get it back. |

I think you should fold. The kjs hand could have been a resqueeze plus once you factor in how big his stack was at the time, I wouldnt say he was all too out of line.
