villain is really weird
first orbit: short-stack raises to 22 (he has 180 behind), i (600 behind) reraise to 72 w/AA, SB (800 behind) flat calls, short-stack pushes, i push, SB CALLS Me: AA short-stack: QQ SB: KdJd i hold up and scoop. SB about 3-4 orbits later does a weird button open limp-push over BBs raise. hand in question: villain is now UTG and raises to 22 i reraise AKo to 72 villain (750, i cover) pushes insta-call? |

I wouldnt insta, because I hate playing large coinflips in cash games. You can take this maniacs money on a 5 card board a lot easier than leaving it up to a gamble.

If he never has AA/KK here it's an easy call. You flip with a lot of his range and dominate the rest. Obviously if you think he plays AA/KK this way as well it's a fold, though hardly INSTA. Playing 12 tables you probably have to INSTA everything.

I agree to fold here. Part of his range IS AA/KK, and you flip against his other hands. I doubt he does this with AQ. And I don't like coinflips for full stacks, BUT, if you don't mind the variance, I do believe that calling here is +EV because I think that you have equity here given the dead money.

why do you think he never has aa/kk here?
thought 1. thinking from the villian's perspective, you raised with a good hand before, you must have a good hand now. therefore he should push aa/kk because you will call. thought 2. he called before with kj. jesus h. i think it's tough to exclude many hands from his range. anyway, my vote is +ev because i think we can add aq, aj to his range. |
