[ QUOTE ]
I've read this whole thread and I still don't understand what kept the other guy who broke in from saving his drowning friend. Who the f sees someone drowning and goes to get help at 3 am. Just jump in and safe the person... it's a god damn pool, not the ocean. UGH [/ QUOTE ] well, that sounds like an awesome idea when you can't swim. |

[ QUOTE ] The female roommate was SMART not to jump in. Assuming the Dead Guy was bigger than her he would have easily pulled her under and drown her too. [/ QUOTE ] I hear what you're saying, but really...are you telling me that if someone is drowning, your first reaction is: if drowner's weight <= my weight then jump in and save person drowning else run and get help from (person who weighs more than the person drowning) or (person who weighs less than the person drowning, but is willing to risk their life anyway) [/ QUOTE ] No, of course not. I'm a pretty strong swimmer so I would probably just jump in and help, especially seeing as it's just an apt. pool. But in cases of lakes or rivers it's better to find something to save them with w/o getting in the water with them. I guess I wasn't really thinking about the pool this guys in. OP, how deep was the water he drown in? deepest would have to be like 7 feet right?? |

I don't get all the fence-jumping. In my world, if a sign says "pool closes at 9PM", it means they don't want you in there after 9PM. You can still use your key to get in, but it would be breaking the rules.
