I didn't even know it was possible to not know how to swim.

Not to dis your roommate...but wouldn't you jump in the pool anyway to save the guy? Who cares about asthma?!? Can she not swim? Isn't this going to haunt her for the rest of her life...that she could have saved a guy from drowning, but instead went with the "sorry, I have asthma" line?

Remind me never to get involved in a quickly escalating life or death situation in your apartment building.

The female roommate was SMART not to jump in. Assuming the Dead Guy was bigger than her he would have easily pulled her under and drown her too.

My question is doesn't this pool have some sort of flotation device hanging on the wall/fence or a pool cleaning net that the Dead Guy's friend could have reached to him with?

rwanger,

according to her she did jump in, but he was at the bottom and she could not hold her breath long enough. given the timeline, he was probably dead anyway.

I hear what you're saying, but really...are you telling me that if someone is drowning, your first reaction is:

if drowner's weight <= my weight then

jump in and save person drowning

else

run and get help from (person who weighs more than the person drowning) or (person who weighs less than the person drowning, but is willing to risk their life anyway)

Jack-

Is your sister a lesbian, too?

[/ QUOTE ]

uber christian. has a voyfriend.

[/ QUOTE ]

Is this a typo, or some new-tech word that combines voyeur and boyfriend?

Judging by the pic, I am convinced you sister has chowed your roommates box, or the other way around . . . or both at the same time.

My gaydar never fails.

Thank you for clearing that up. I thought the "can't get too deep" meant that he was in the deep end thrashing around and she didn't want to go into the deep end.

PS - How deep is the pool?

I've read this whole thread and I still don't understand what kept the other guy who broke in from saving his drowning friend.

Who the f sees someone drowning and goes to get help at 3 am. Just jump in and safe the person... it's a god damn pool, not the ocean.

UGH

not a chance. these are not normal girls. according to boyfriend nothing's happened and they've dated roughly a year. like I said, she is uber christian. I live in the middle of the bible belt, people, there are tons of virgins into their 20s.
