Pre-flop: (9 players) pretender_2k is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
2 folds, MP1 calls, 2 folds, CO calls, Button folds, pretender_2k calls, BB checks.

Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (4SB, 4 players)
pretender_2k checks, BB checks, <font color="#cc0000">MP1 bets</font>, <font color="#cc0000">CO raises</font>, <font color="#cc0000">pretender_2k 3-bets</font>, BB folds, MP1 calls, CO calls.

I checked her trying to get a check raise because I was sure CO would bet requardless. He was being super aggressive.

Turn: 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (6.5BB, 3 players)
<font color="#cc0000">pretender_2k bets</font>, MP1 calls, CO calls.

River: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (9.5BB, 3 players)
<font color="#cc0000">pretender_2k bets</font>, MP1 folds, <font color="#cc0000">CO raises</font>, pretender_2k calls.

What should I have done when the river paired the board?

I would have bet the flop intending on 3-betting a CO raise. The rest of the hand is fine.

Its really best not to show results either.

I think you should have 3-bet. In SSHE they have put several factors that you should take a look at if a scare card comes for you on the river:

1) How many opponents are left (the more opponents left, the greater the chance that the card will beat you).
2) How many draws the card completes.
3) The likely range of hands your opponents might have.
4) How tight or loose your opponents are.

I think if you consider all these factors there is a big chance that you are still ahead. You had only one opponent left (MP1 folds) and the only draw that was completed is for a full house. To complete a full house he should have had AJ or JT. With the read you have given us (villain is agressive), he should have been betting into two pair more often then only one raise on the flop. Considering his aggression you could also expect a bluff-raise on the river. I think this will be the case way more often then that he actually has completed his full house.

Grunch:

Bet out the flop, going for a c/r is not good, since you're facing the field with calling two bets or more cold if sucessful, and otherwise you're giving a free card.

I don't like the c/r either, just bet out, flush draw is out don't want to risking giving free draw to that with straight. I don't see that as a huge error, since with this board there should be action. Just a point of info, this KQo not suited. The results suck but that's poker

Putting aside the mistake of showing results there are some interesting decisions on the flop. This is a fairly rare hand where you have flopped something great but you literally have no redraws whatsoever. What you have now is what you're going to show down. This is a very coordinated board so you know people will have draws. Thus you ask yourself "is there any way to protect my hand?" The answer is no - gutshots will be priced out no matter what and flush draws will be priced in no matter what, at least on the flop. Other strong high card draws will also stay in. Next, should I wait for the turn? Absolutely not since you don't want to give free cards or let someone else take over as the aggressor on the hand.

I think by far the best way to handle this hand is to take over immediately as the aggressor and bet/raise the flop. Turn and river are fine, bet out and call down if you get raised at any point by a scare card. Sadly you got two scare cards and one of them did indeed hit an opponent's draw. Oh well.

*Grunch*

I bet the flop. Why check-raise? You have a great hand, and no one with the flush draw, or a set, or whatever, is going to fold, and you risk having it checked through (despite your read), which is a grave mistake. There's plenty of reasons the other players will call/raise you. Pump while you know you have the best hand.

As for the rest of the hand, it's played fine.

Hope that one of your opponents has A8 and the other has AT.

More seriously, you are most likely beaten but the pot is quite big. I would check/call 1 bet but not 2 on the river.
