I miss the old lineup.
One thing that struck me is the tourney donks are all sort of jerks. They're used to trying to put people off, get them defensive and bully them. The old cash game players create a nice atmosphere that encourages gambling and builds action. |

[ QUOTE ]
Considering Ivey took part in the "Learn From the Pros" show on FSN as well as is a big part of Full Tilt whose main concept is to "Learn and chat with the pros," I doubt this is it. [/ QUOTE ] Nahhh.. The lessons that go out on the Full Tilt TV shows, newsletters etc. are very basic stuff. Ivey isn't giving away much about his game by participating in all that. |

[ QUOTE ] Maybe (Phil Ivey) doesnt want to give away more of his secrets. [/ QUOTE ] That's got to be the reason Ivey isn't playing. There certainly wouldn't be a bigger game somewhere else. [/ QUOTE ] He probably just doesn't want to play with all the weak tight nits in this game playing bigger than their bankroll. The only people in that game who normally play that high that were on tonights telecast, for instance, was DN and Sam Farha if he plays the big games normally. I highly doubt anyone there is going to be too comfortable playing those stakes and won't want to splash around the way they do when the big game regulars are playing. |

What denomination was the red chip?
I got that black is $100, purple is $500, yellow is $100, and brown is $5000. But everyone seemed to have a stack of red, and I find it hard to believe they're $5s. |

No one has pointed out the big change. S1 was six-handed, S2 is eight-handed. This also explains the camera placement. With less space between the players, the cameras have to be closer to the table.

[/ QUOTE ] Um, no. It was the same last year. I liked it, y'all. The matusow berating was fantastic, ("He just won't listen! He COULD be a good player, but...") Daniel nearly getting the Unadonk to push with tptk was facinating, the drubbing of the amatuer (great valuebet by Grinder with the FH, yes!), Sammy pwning --the preflop rr w/44 was butter, Tilly-boob sightings, all solid gold entertainment. Even Kaplan seems funnier somehow, ("Negraneu's mom is feeling great--she's winning in the Mom's game...")hopefully the ol'pokerbrat will be back soon to lose a few stacks and make this season another homerun/touchdown/lame-sports-analogy! |

negreanu's raise with QJ against Unabomber was a big mistake. Laak will never ever call with a hand that is beaten, and will probably never ever fold a better hand.

His "act" may have been a big mistake, but not his raise. First, that board was damn draw heavy and top 2 was quite vulnerable. And while Unabomber had a great read, who knows if he would have overplayed TPTK if Daniel had quickly and quietly raised rather than feigning weakness. |

i gained alot of respect for laak with that laydown (aq). however i wonder if daniel would have been quiet if he would have still folded.
it seems like daniel talks too much while he is in hands. |
