You probably would have told Bill Gates to stay in college.

Personally, I would choose Philly, just for the cheese steaks. This is an individual decision now. Our advice is no longer needed nor will be heeded.

The resume gap is a myth.

End of thread.

A myth for a talented person with a Computer Science degree in a very hot market for Security jobs.

Default Conclusion

I went with the poker job. After sensing some real indecision they also raised their offer, but perhaps the final nudge was the following demographic info of a nearby town from the 2000 census, as listed on wikipedia:

"The median age was 22 years. For every 100 females there were 46.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 42.4 males."

Hooray for all-girls liberal arts colleges :-) Of course they could be man-hating armpit-haired lesbians, but I'll take my chances. Lock it up!

Even if the women divide up 50/50 (worst case scenario), it's easily +EV.

Way to go goat. After all this discussion you let the little head make the final decision.

Forgive me for being harsh, but do you know what a professional blackjack player has to go through to get a game? Your post angers me a little because in many ways poker players do have it easy.

[/ QUOTE ]

I'm being sincere when I ask this, but how can you be a professional at something where you have no long term mathematical chance of winning ?
