how are you going to finish the bonus profitably under the new rake structure? just withdraw for now and come back to the bonus after they (presumably if they like staying in business) change it.

No, it is true.

Then you suck at poker.

Typical pathetic 2+2 post. I dont know 1 player who has beat the 2/4. Dutch Boyd bragged on his site that when he was a prop he could beat any level in the casino except 2/4. Are there any props out there beating 2/4 in a live casino? Did not think so.
BTW I will never play at pokeroom. Rake should be going down, not up.

I had just started this bonus chase. As I had never played 1/2 at Poker Room, my PT stats are strictly from this chase.

So far I've played 332 hands (Been sick last 2 days and haven't played alot.)

Accrued 125 points of the 700 need to clear. (Only deposited $500 for $100 bonus)

Rake paid is $14.80.

I've cleared about 18%...or $18 of the bonus (don't have a calculater handy.) So it appears clearing the bonus is still profitable....at least at 1/2.

$2-4 and under (limit) is unbeatable live because of the rake. Not even to mention the tips.

[/ QUOTE ]

Untrue.

Here is a good explanation from espn of why 2/4 is unbeatable:

Default Agreed . . .

Most B&M 2-4 games are easily beatable, although you will be the lowest paid person in the cardroom; the $6/hr coat-check girl is likely making more than you are.

I don't play PokerRoom but sure would love to know what happened.

Other sites are also bad.

AP rakes a pot even as low as $1.
I think (not 100% sure) that Pacific rakes uncalled bets too. That's the impression I got when I played there though I never checked out exactly.

I don't technically care if they rake 1c out of 20c pots, but 5% should be the max across the board unless the bonus can offset it. this is clearly not the case with pokerroom's new structure.
