I still cannot believe you would ban Qbit he was stating facts and not going for the hype. But something has to be wrong when you ban all of them but I guess that is your decision.

Alan,

Besides being a top pro with a really interesting playing style, you're a very classy guy. I hope the nonsense in this thread won't keep you away from these forums for good. There are plenty of people here who enjoy reading your thoughts and appreciate your comments.

I second that. It's cool to see posts by someone who has been successful like Alan.

Guys,

Just so we can stop quoting and clogging up the thread. Smoothcall was perma-banned by Dynasty yesterday.

[/ QUOTE ]

Bravo!

Now can you ban Vince and Qbit as well?

Firstoff keep the u sucks to a minuimum iof you want me to respond. And what exactly should i be banned for? The man made statements claiming not only was he better than Phil Hellmuth but to even consider his style to be like hellmuths makes him want to puke. So i called him on it. I didnt attack him for no reasonattacked Phil i beg to differ that he is the superior player to Phil Hellmuth. Isn't what this 2+2 is about is discussion? Or are we supposd to be robots and kiss butt to every semi-celebrity that posts? And in fact i complimented him on his class and demeanor. I just don';t agree with his play and his statemetns ripping hellmuth and making himself look like hellmuths play is inferior to his. What if i made the claims he has made saying i was superior to hellmuth and even the thouyght that his play is as complex as mine makes me sick? I would be ripped from everyone. So why when he makes him we can't take opposition? I was polite didnt call him names and complimented him on his manners. Please explain what i9 did wrong? I'm sorry if i hurt his big ego but he made the grandios claims not me.

Is English your second language? Seriously. You read things into Alan's words that he simply doesnt say, and I wont assume thats intentional, just facility with the language.

The suggestion that Alan's wins are variance related is just silly. The tournaments he's talking about take days and even weeks to play out. If he was a -ev player there is no way he could cash what he has done.

The fact is he has a system that beats the majority of poker players in todays tournament world. Much like Phil Hellmuth, Tj Coultier, Tom McEvoy etc... had in the 80's and 90's. The systems they had don't work as well any more because ppl are wise to them and either mimick them or know exactly what to do to counter. Super System and Harrington more or less exposed all of this to todays players and the strategies in those books dominate the way the majority play.

Alan along with Gus Hanson, Daniel Negraneau, Phil Ivey etc... have all developed their individual successful ways of playing. As have some of the online players (gobboboy's results anyone??). Given the growth in poker and how many solid players there are around now this is the only way to be highly successful. You can't beat this game by knowing your ABC's anymore.

By the typing that is going on (I'm assuming English is their fist language) these guys seem drunk. Ignore them as there are plenty of people on this forum who do take you seriously and want to learn. I think because you have a non-conventional style of play you have more to offer here as we can really get some good discussion going. It sux that this post turned out like it did, but it's over and now we can move on to actual discussions.

Alan,

I'm just interested why you ended up calling with K8os for the tournament?
