Default I could have capped on all streets?

As I'm looking over this hand that happened 2 weeks ago, should have posted sooner, but forgot to. Looking at the action, I could definitely had capped every street with the smallest possibility of a split pot because of the preflop action right?

Villain's stats 20/19.94/2.68/108

Because of the pf 3-bet by villian I think you can 3-bet the turn and take it from there

You need to put more bets in against this villian. Sometimes he is going to have a set but your hand is going to be good here the vast majority of the time.

Throw tons of bets in here. You really think the 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] helped him?

Thanks for the replies guys -- when I play I should think more thoroughly instead of just insta betting and raising. When the hand was over, I was like damn, I should have raised and capped every street given the opportunity.

Thanks again for the quick replies - villain had two black Kings.

Grunch:

I doubt the BB hit anything on this board, so you should cap every street.

Don't be results-oriented. If he showed you KK, then he would have slowed down to your turn 3-bet. You probably get the same number of bets, either way.

And, fwiw, when I see a player over 100-plus hands, raising nearly every hand he plays, I'm going to flip over to PT real quick and see if I can't see a couple of hands he showed down that he PFR'd. The 3-bet narrows it a little, especially if he'd never 3-bet pf, but he might not be a tight raiser...he could've made a set on the flop.

So, if you're going to town, go to town on the turn. Don't stop-n-go, the paired board didn't help you.

With the PF action, I highly doubt you're behind to a set. Most likely villain has KK-QQ and figures you're FOS.
