Aliens watch Earth. We are their reality show. They find our everday lives to be hilariously entertaining from world politics to that car wreck you got in last year. They don't dare contact us because that would screw up everything.

It is not the crazy drivers that are a danger on the roads, it is the super careful ones. They are constantly an obstacle to people that want to get somewhere. If you looked at it, the root cause to every accident would be someone driving too slow.

Our life/world is a game for a higher dimensional, more powerful race. They get points that they must divy up to create their character (looks, athleticism, intelligence, starting location, etc.) then this character is dropped into earth. However much the character improves (or worsens) earns (looses) you extra points to start your next character.
