This has happened me a few times recently, 6 seat NL .50$/1$. I am dealer and everyone folds to me, i have AA, KK or AKs - should i raise??
I am well aware that i should raise but for profitablity i have been calling with a view to extracting some cash from the blinds. This strategy has mostly worked but (as i am well aware) it can be dangerous. I actually feel annoyed when i win the hand because i hate limping in this position. Has anyone any views? |

I raise it up everytime unless a VERY aggresive player is behind. Limping is very dangerous as I think you will only win very small pots or lose huge ones when you let the guy in the big blind see a flop of J72 and he holds 72o. If you are good at folding overpairs then maybe you can get by doing it everyonce in awhile otherwise I think you are losing a lot of value by limping.

Yeah, raise. You don't want people flopping top two with trash they would've thrown away. If you know that SB or BB will overplay top pair, then you can probably limp. Or, you can if you can fold it under serious heat. It's better to win $1.50 than to lose $100.

I raise complete junk in that situation, I'm certainly not limping my biggest money makers.
