Still doubters....
From ESPN The Sabres are a team that jumps out of the gate and will go for it no matter the situation. It is a style that neither Philadelphia nor Ottawa had an antidote for. But the Canes have been there, besting a Montreal team that tried the same tack. And when the dust clears on what promises to be a wild and woolly affair, it'll be the Canes still standing. Prediction: Carolina in seven. |

Thats fine, more fuel for the no respect fire. That things raging at about a 4 alarm rate about now and the team just feeds off of it.

My favorite Ive found is CBSSportsline....but Carolina as a Moderate favorite on there edge scale...giving Carolina a big edge on Offense and Goaltending and Even on defense....even though Buffalo has scored the most goals in the postseason and are averageing 3.91 gpg as compared to Carolinas 2.91....while in goal they are both giving up 2.45 gpg with Miller having the higher save %....
....baffling....I wish I could email this [censored] to the Sabres to help get em pumped |

I'm pulling for the Sabres in this series, but the 'Canes do match up well with Buffalo. One thing about Buffalo is that they are overall faster, but I'm not sure they can compete in the faceoff circle w/Brind'Amour.
One thing that Buffalo should test is Cam Ward - the Devils didn't generate anything serious against him and when they did he mostly folded. |

[/ QUOTE ] Did you just cut and paste your response to the last round? Not just you but everything I read is how all these teams Buffalo are playing are always just a little better in every category.... ....Buffalo wont last in a long series vs Philly because there a young team and wont be able to handle there top line They allowed Phillys top line to score but shut down everything else Philly had and made a fool of there veteran defense ....Ottawas team is just like Buffalos except Ottawa has better people in the skill positions and Chara and Redden wont be statues out on the ice..... Buffalo showed again how Ottawas top people had no heart, and rolled out line after line against them so much there top defensive guys wore down...to the point Charra and Redden were playing more than HALF the game, and Emery was shown to be just a rookie goaltender ...and the newest ... Carolina depth will outlast the Sabres and Goaltender wise Carolina has the huge edge WTF?????? Im loving it |

ESPN sportsnation poll is weighing towards carolina. i don't care. buffalo is used to being underdog by now, but seriously, why no love? [/ QUOTE ] Fascinating stats for some states As expected ones: North Carolina - 92% canes South Carolina - 83% canes New York - 67% Sabres along with the rest of the south picking Carolina heavily...slight bias i think!!!...goes to show you which way the media is swinging as those "uneducated" on hockey are swinging off the medias nuts... But as you get up North it closes the gap considerably and when you hit the more Hockey oriented/educated states Buffalo starts to take over... ...and Buffalo is favored by the International aspect as well... no offense when I say uneducated im referring to people who are voting based on passing Hockey interest...who are generally not watching the playoffs as in depth as some of us are... |

Carolina basically dominated New Jersey for most of the series. Buffalo, OTOH, could've easily lost Games 1, 2, and 3. Not saying New Jersey is as good as Ottawa because they're not, but anyone who thinks that Buffalo wins this going away is betting on Cam Ward folding, because other than that there's nowhere where Buffalo can be perceived to have a significant edge.
