He has a better voice then both kat or taylor, and he doesn't try to yell and scream when singing.
If you saw rod stewart perform you'd say "he doesn't have any stage presence" because he doesnt dance around on stage. That said, out of the three he is the worst "american idol" But I think Kat sucks (she is 2-8 the last month) and Taylor can only do one genre. |

The whole soul patrol thing is so damn annoying.
I havent done any checking this year, but every other year they all had their little internet groups. Bo Bice had the Bice squad (only one i remember because its catchy). But, Taylor acts like he's the only one with one of these. He, like Fantasia will never have a song that will make it to any radio station worth listening to. rJ_ |

Well there are almost no radio stations worth listening to in the first place, and any station playing a Katherine McPhee or Kelly Clarkson song is most certainly not one of them. Pure and utter over-produced pop crap. Like the 2 songs AI will force down the public's throat next week.
She's got a nice voice. But I have heard 17 billion girls with nice voices sing a nice rendition of "Somewhere Over The Rainbow." I have heard very few people able to sing "Try a Little Tenderness" or "Change is Gonna Come" well. It could very well be that Katherine sells more music than Taylor, as the public seems to eat up the putrid slop that passes for music these days. To me, and a lot of others, Taylor is kind of a breath of fresh air that doesn't come around that much anymore. I love his voice, and it is a heck of a lot more unique than Katherine's bland vanillaness. She will be more at home singing the AI produced songs next week than Taylor, and she certainly has a shot to win the thing as a result. |

Taylor is actually the one best suited for a Vegas act.
I can't see any of these singers becoming a Clay Aikin or Kelly Clarkson. Maybe Kat just because she's a chick and could do something poppy. |

Taylor had his Soul Patrol long before AI. He's staying loyal to his original fan base.
I was an Elliot fan tonight just because I wanted easier competition for Taylor in the next round. But it looks like he's out. |

Well there are almost no radio stations worth listening to in the first place [/ QUOTE ] Ain't that the truth. I think if Elliot goes on to release love song type stuff it could do very well. Not mainstream, but I think he'd have a following. Taylor is good live, but for a CD...meh I wouldn't buy it. Kat could have one or two pop hits, but she needs to learn how to understand what she's singing. If Underwood can be successful then Kat can. |

Kat's Rainbow was by far and away the best performance of the night. In fact, I believe it was the single best performance in the history of the show. [/ QUOTE ] |
