This is just a warning to all of you bodoggers or future bodoggers out there. I have been playing live games and tourny's on Bodog.com for about 6 months now and had over $3700. Recently I put $20 into my roommates new account cause he wanted to try out the site.3 days ago my account was blocked due to security reasons. I called in and was informed that i was under investigation for multiple accounting. The reason was that my credit card was used on another account from the same ip. I told the CSR that it was my roommates account and that i had put the money in for him (if bodog had a transfer funds option i would have used that..gg). He told us that we had to send in drivers liscenses, a copy of the credit card, and some other paperwork in which we did immediately. Today i came home from work and found my account was unblocked, but had a balance of $0. I called back in and talked to every supervisor of every department there was all ending in the same result...the account was emptied due to multi-accounting. I never played at the same game as my roomy and I havnt played for less than $50 for over 3 months and these dickwads took 3700 bucks cause they "thought" i was cheating. Ya know what bodog...you wont see me on your site again, but you will get a nice letter from my lawyer. I DISCOURAGE ANYONE AND EVERYONE TO AVOID THIS SITE AT ALL COSTS...OR IT WILL COST YOU EVERYTHING!

I had an account blocked at PP for having a friend TRY to deposit using my CC. I couldnt pass up the deal as he was blowing a Gnote every other day and paying me back 1.5 times what he borrowed...so the story makes sense. However, after faxing all my [censored] party unblocked my account.
Sites taking peoples money, for things they "suspect," scares the [censored] out of me. |

If i had been cheating i would deserve the result. Im against colluders as much as the next guy. I just feel they one eyed the situation and didnt really care what i had to say. They tech support guy even said that both accounts were only logged on at the same time once, and 1 was in a 20/40 cash game and the other a $5 sit and go. I just dont understand the nature of their actions. GG BODOG

Something very similar happened to me with Bodog a long time ago. A guy I knew from highschool sent me a referral email, and I figured I'd bonus whore it and check out the site. I deposited 500$, did a little sports betting, and the next day when I logged on to check out the poker room, I found that my acct was blocked.
Apparently, this guy did some scamming in the poker room and didn't bother to tell me. (Don't be friends with scumbags) Anyway, after about an hour of duking it out with some Bodog security moron, I gave up. I told him that I hadn't even played a hand of poker, and he said that mine and the "scammer's" IP were the same. I told him that was physically impossible since I live in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and that the 2 IPs were in different countries... but it didn't seem to make much of a difference. I actually got my High School friend to pay me the 500$, but a negative experience none the less. I dunno, I suppose they had every right to ban me, but all evidence pointed to no wrong doing. Whatever, their loss. |
