Makes some sense. But I'm not sure it's as great as you think it is.
If you participate in the tournament BEFORE getting in your raked-hands, as you suggest, then you don't know ahead of time if you are going to run well or not. It might be better to play the raked-hands FIRST and then you can play a couple of MTT's if you like IF you are way behind for the month (although if you are behind for the money then you also have a similar overlay by just trying to get your raked-hands in). Example: Play 10k raked-hands. Max bonus is $2k. But you are only +$200 or so after your 10k raked-hands because you didn't run so hot. NOW almost every MTT you play is like a big overlay. But, of course, just playing more raked-hands to try to get that bonus is a similar overlay. |
