personally I prefer a more classic look in a golf shoe. Only b/c tradition is huge for our sport.

I was peeping the SP-3's and SP-5's just the other day. I then decided I am buying golf shoes, not freakin hooping shoes so I went with some Callaway Sport - Club Saddle in black :

(sorry, only pic I found was brown)

I see you posted the white/brown Club Saddle's above me. Do you have them? I like them a lot, but they are my first pair of real golf shoes though so I don't have much to compare them too.

Also, any suggestions on the best way to waterproof?

Actually I don't own a pair of these, but I thought they were a good example of classic golf shoes. The best way to waterproof your shoes should be mink oil(?) I think that should do the trick but I am not 100% sure, so you should double check.

As a golfer I am of the opinion that wearing Golf shoes when not playing golf is very, very gay.

[/ QUOTE ]

Agreed. As golfers we have a hard enough time not being veiwed as gay without wearing golf shoes off the course. Also i am an old school golfer who is anti anything nike golf.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't give a crap how people "view" me based on what games I play.

How does being old school make you not like Nike? Just because they didn't start making golf equipment until recently?

[/ QUOTE ]

Ron i have never liked their clothing line always thought their clothing looked cheap. The couple of nike golf shoes i have owned have been poorly made and uncomfortable(it has been quite a few years since i owned a pair so this may haved changed). Until very recently they have done nothing unique in the club category and their equipment was inferior to all the other major club companies. Basically i think they have used their name and money to buy into the golf market compared to all the other companies have earned their way in through superior products.
