Okay, I agree that it's retarded if he claims it was his. What if he's just like, "yea, I was hungry and I ate a slice of pizza"? That would be fine by me, no need for it to be accidental.

[/ QUOTE ]

yeah, thats cool.

this year I shared a fridge with a stranger. At first we were unsure, but asked when needed. After a month there was free sharing. But we get along very well.

ilk, ketchup, leftover pizza, eggs, peanut butter, bread, popcorn, etc.

I think leftover pizza is in a different category to the rest. In general though, this is fine,

This obviously depends on the situation and how often it happens. if you occasionally eat a slice of the guy's pizza, or drink a glass of his milk it should be fine. On the other hand, if you are always eating his food to the point where you barely ever buy food of your own, then this is a problem.

"Also assume that this is not a chronic "problem", your roommate does not just wait for you to buy food and then eat it, they just happened to want something that you had in there."

My roommate does this from time to time, and always throws me a few bucks. It only irritates me if its late and I can't get more (we're out here in teh boondocks). Then I'll pee on his bed or something, and he gets the idea.

i just had a thought. how would the reaction be to me buying her the exact brand of milk that is in the fridge now, putting that next to her milk and writing her name on it? she would feel kinda stupid, i would have compensated her and the problems would be solved, no?

Actually I was thinking you should drink all her milk then give her different milk with her name on it...but yours works too...

or you could make a nightly cream depository to said milk.

If nothing is ever said about the food, I regard him with suspicion and begin to be on the lookout for more thievery.

If he says something, then its fine.
