Recent hand at Pacific. Board shows a straight flush, 4-8 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. A bets. B, a complete donk, raises. A reraises. B calls. A flips over the 9 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] for the higher straight flush. Was laughing my ass off at that one.

What a waste:

Party Poker 0.50/1 Hold'em (8 handed) converter

Preflop: Hero is SB with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img].
6 folds, Hero raises, BB calls.

Flop: (4 SB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB checks.

Turn: (2 BB) Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero checks, BB checks.

River: (2 BB) K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (2 players)
Hero bets, BB calls.

Final Pot: 4 BB

Results in white below:
BB has 8c Ac (one pair, queens).
Hero has Qs Qc (four of a kind, queens).
Outcome: Hero wins 4 BB.

I guess it's better than him folding preflop.

I don't have the hand history, but last night I had a bad beat.

I had AK[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], the flop comes 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], j[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]. Between villain and I we 4-bet post-flop. The turn is 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. He checked, I bet, he raised, and I only called this time. The river was a 10[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] He bet, I called.

He had pocket 10s. He didn't even have an overpair after the flop and went 4 bets with a flush showing.

Immediately after that hand I picked up a pencil and shoved it in my eye.

This isn't really a thread for hand analysis, but care to elaborate?

Bet the flop.
Bet the turn.
Bet the river.

Bet! For the love of all that is good in the world, bet!

He can't call you if you don't bet.

I left out reads because it was just a NC post, but the guy was playing pretty tight. I wanted to give him the chance to catch a card to call WITH. I knew he had nothing on the flop and obviously not on the turn either, so betting either would have made him fold. You can't just say "bet bet bet" and apply it religiously, regardless of the situation. I honestly think I extracted the most out of him on that hand, which is a shame for quads. Against looser opponents (or just MORE opponents) I would definitely play that hand more aggressively.

It sucks to have been out of position on that hand. Most of my monster hands come in the blinds...

To quote Peter Boyle (the dad from TV's "Everyone Loves Raymond"):

HOLY CRAP!

I recently put $100 into Paradise Poker, cuz of the "soft" games that I have heard so much about. In fact, the only fishier site I've heard about would be Pacific, which I've had a hard time beating, cuz the players are SOOOO bad.
Paradise f-ing took me for over $50 in 1 hour on 3/6...brutal.
Now listen, I can (and have) make up to 5BB/hr on UB easily because the players play "Right", but this Paradise sh*t is absolutely killing me...

7-4o, 8-5o, K-2o...etc is winning EVERY POT, and there are like 4 or 5 of them in on every hand.

UNBELIEVABLE!

I know you have to have good cards to play, but I didn't know you had to have the nuts every time. Goddamit.

Just venting, thanks
