Default Music to chill to

Sorry for another "recommned me some music thread". but, please recommend me some chill music

I'm thinking, it's 11:30am on Sunday morning, and I'm scrolling through Itunes. I see lots of newer stuff (Block Party/Wolf Parade/Interpol/White Stripes/whatever), and some classic rock, and more mainstream rock (Coldplay, Dave Matthews), and some reggae, but had trouble finding something good for the moment.

I settled on the Shins. Another good choice could have been Aimee Mann. So I'm not sure what I'm searching for. Maybe some coffeeshop music?

go!

Both of Michelle Branch's CDs are really great to just chill too. It's my current non-tilt music.

I prefer instrumental stuff for chill music:
Sigur Ros (very popular)
Mogwai
Air
Explosions in the Sky

Non-instrumental:
Belle and Sebastian
Kings of Convenience
Iron and Wine
Nick Drake

try out any of the Mark Farina "Mushroom Jazz" series, there is five volumes.....it is all great, the 4 and 5 have a bit more of a hip/hop flavor.

i do love the other choices mentioned, Nick Drake and Kings of Convience especially, and Wilco is one of the best bands of all time, but for chill music, check out Farina.

cheer. J.
