I don't think I would have mentioned that period. I am certain someone will find it very quickly. OOTers seem to be clever like that.

It was fun. My friend would call up anytime she needed contestants on game shows or whatever. The chick I went out with was ok. I think they only ran it once because we were boring. Nice to one another but no sparks, nothing embarrasing happened.

There was a B movie filmed across the street from my house, and I may have a walkthrough scene in it as I went through their little turnstyle everyday trying to get on it. The movie was called Decoys, and I believe it's about hot alien chicks that [censored] guys and then kill them. I've seen that it was on TMN once, but I've never actually watched more than a few minutes of the movie.

A friend of mine used to show up on the set of every movie that was being shot in Boston, trying to get on. He was an extra the first time, in "Second Sight" (John Laroquette, Stuart Pankin, and Balki).

He got speaking roles in "Celtic Pride" (Akroyd and Wayans) and "Mrs Winterborn" (Rikki Lake and Brendan Frasier).

So I sat through these three movies. They are without doubt the worst movies ever committed to film.

And if that wasn't bad enough, all of his spoken lines ended up on the cutting room floor, so I watched these three horrible films for nothing.

I was in the stands for part of the filming of Major League II. I have no idea if I'm actually in the movie.

When I was laid off I started doing a lot of work as a movie extra, and spent a year doing film and tv. I had done a bunch of stage acting and eventually found some union work on soaps. I had some decent roles in a couple of low budget films that went straight to video.

For the most part, I really felt that being on set was boring. You just spend hours and hours waiting to do something - my record for longest time waiting for a shot was 3 days! Not just 8 hour days, we went to double time the first two days I was waiting.

Stage work was so much more fun because you get the live energy feed from the audience and the action is continuous. Once the curtain goes up, you just get the big rush and keep going.
